Election day, in your Situation Room

Five things your Situation Room does all day.

  • Real screens from the live Situation Room
  • Every number traces back to an agent's report

01 / 05

Know which polling units have your agent. Before voting starts.

Agents check in by GPS as they arrive. You watch coverage climb ward by ward, and the units still empty are listed for a call.

  • Coverage by ward, live
  • A call list of every empty polling unit
Coverage view: agents checking in from 07:20 climb to 503 of 516 polling units, 97 percent. Ward bars fill. An alert lists 13 polling units with no agent yet.

02 / 05

When something goes wrong, you know in minutes, with proof.

Violence, vote buying, BVAS failures, agents denied access. Each report arrives with photo and location, starts a response clock and escalates until someone acts.

  • Severity, photo and GPS on every report
  • New, Acknowledged, Resolved, with times
Incident INC-047, violence and intimidation, critical, at Junior Secondary School, Tirwun, with a photo. The ward coordinator is paged at once, acknowledges in 2 minutes, and the incident is resolved in 24 minutes.

03 / 05

Know your numbers before anybody announces them.

Every EC8A your agents photograph is added up by ward the moment it arrives. These are the results your agents sent, not official results, and every figure links to its photo.

  • Results by ward and polling unit
  • Each figure beside the sheet it came from
Results by ward: stacked bars of votes for APC, PDP, NNPP, ADC and LP from the EC8A sheets your agents sent, 266 of 516 so far. Labelled as results your agents sent, not official results.

04 / 05

Agents who go quiet are flagged.

If an agent stops reporting, EIRIS tells you after the time you set, with their last location, so your coordinator can call before the count starts.

  • An alert after 45 minutes of silence
  • Call or message from the same screen
Silent agents: the minutes since each agent's last message count up. Three agents cross 45 minutes and are flagged with a call button. A message goes to all three, and one agent replies and is back online.

05 / 05

One message to every agent.

Send instructions to all your agents, one ward or a single polling unit. See who received it, who read it and who has acknowledged it.

  • Delivered, read and acknowledged counts
  • Follow up only with those who missed it
Broadcast: the Situation Room types one message to all 503 agents and sends it. Delivered 503, read 482, acknowledged 451.
Wall mode

Put the whole election on the wall.

Switch the Situation Room to wall mode for the big screen. Large figures, the live map and a ticker of open incidents, readable from across the room, so everyone works from the same picture.

Wall mode on a television: coverage 97.5 percent, EC8A sheets received, 22 open incidents, the live map of Bauchi LGA, results by party labelled as results your agents sent and not official results, and a crawling ticker of open incidents.

  • One picture

The candidate, the DG and every desk read the same numbers at the same time.

  • Readable at a distance

Big type and high contrast, built for a TV across a busy room.

  • Always moving

Figures, map and incident ticker update as your agents report.

One room, one picture

Hundreds of WhatsApp groups. Or one screen.

On election night, information arrives everywhere at once and goes missing just as fast. EIRIS puts every report in one place, with its photo, time and polling unit, so nothing depends on who saw which message.
